What do you charge for logo designs?

Our Logo Packages generally range from $299 to $999. Logos can be as simple as text placed in a creative way, or have more abstract elements requiring illustration. Prices depend on complexity, number of additional concepts, number of revisions, etc. Rush jobs for logos cost 25%-50% extra.

What is the process for designing a logo?

First, you and the designer should discuss what ideas/concepts you envision your logo to look like. Depending on the package you choose, we will provide you with 2-8 logo concepts within 1-5 business days. These logo concepts will be displayed on a specific URL (web page) or sent via e-mail to you for editing and approvals. Based on which package you have chosen, you will have 1 to unlimited revisions to complete your logo design. Once the final logo is approved, we will provide you with a CD of files of your logo for Print and Web Media. Once payment has been received, complete rights and ownership of the logo will be transferred to you.

How many logo design samples do we get to choose from?

Depending on the logo design package you have chosen, you will receive between 2 and 8 concepts. If requested, additional concepts will be billed at $45/hour.

What formats are my logos delivered in?

Print Logos are normally delivered in EPS - Illustrator, CDR - Corel Draw, or TIFF - Hi-Resolution Raster format (along with PDF format), unless requested in another format by the client.

Web Logos are normally delivered in GIF or JPEG format, depending on the design of the logo. Special formats can be created, but we recommend using these formats for general use.

Screen Logos (other than the web, such as for presentation) can be created in GIF, JPEG, PICT, PNG, Windows Bitmap, and many other formats. Again, we strongly recommend letting Cre8iv Design know beforehand where you plan on having your logo displayed so it can be properly optimized for its use.

What is the difference between a Print Logo and a Web Logo?

Print Logos require a much higher resolution (300+ DPI/Dots Per Inch) and need to be saved in certain standard print file formats. Some of the most common and universal print formats for print jobs are Hi Resolution TIFF, Photoshop and Illustrator EPS files, Corel Draw, and Adobe Acrobat PDF. Since print logos can become very large in file size they are best sent on a form of removable media, such as a floppy disk, a zip disk, or a CD-ROM.

Web Logos require a much smaller resolution since they only need to be displayed on a screen (72 DPI), and can be sent directly through e-mail or be available for immediate download. Since web logos are so small in file size, they are not a good choice for printing, as the quality will appear blurred or jagged on paper.

What questions should I be asking myself when thinking about a logo design?

  • What do I want my logo to represent? (Think keywords: strength, quality, elegance, etc.)
  • What are your main services or products?
  • Where will my logo be displayed?
  • Should it include text, an image, or both?
  • Who are my competitors, and how does their logo represent them?

If your logo will be used for Print Media, be aware that the cost of getting it printed will sometimes depend on the number of colors you choose. More colors will incur higher cost. Remember: the more information you can provide Cre8iv Design Studio with, the better you can be assured of having the logo design that meets your needs.
